Clear Evidence of Prophetic Trickery: Examining the Ministry and Claimed Prophetic Gift of Apostle P.S. Rambabu

Apostle Rambabu: Prophetic or Pathetic?

Examining Apostle P.S. Rambabu and his claimed prophetic gift of prophelying

Sometimes you watch something and your spiritual eyebrows go up before you've even worked out why. And when God places someone on my radar, I listen to The Sovereign God.

That happened to me with Apostle Dr. P.S. Rambabu, also known as Pastor Ram Babu and Evangelist Rambabu, decades ago.

I am not quick to call out names. Decades is a long time to wait for us, but not for God. His ways are not ours.

Who Is Apostle Rambabu?

Apostle Dr. P.S. Rambabu, widely known online as "Rambo," is the founder of New Creation Ministries and Rambo World Outreach, based in Bengaluru. He has built a large international following on claims of healing miracles, prophetic accuracy, and decades of crusade ministry across dozens of nations.

Evangelist Rambabu's social channels report hundreds of thousands of followers, and testimony compilations circulate widely across his platforms and affiliated Christian sites. But a closer look — rather than the ministry's own promotional material — tells a more complicated story.

Why I Started Looking Closely at Rambabu

In the early 2000s, I attended two meetings in my local area where Rambabu was speaking. At the first, at Woodside Christian Centre, I watched him give what were presented as words of knowledge. Something didn't sit right with me.

At the second meeting, people came forward with testimonies of healing. I knew some of those people, so afterwards I asked whether they'd genuinely been healed or whether they could already do what they'd demonstrated. They admitted they could already do it.

Now, I'm not claiming to know their hearts. Standing in front of a crowd creates pressure, and people can easily feel they're expected to say something happened.

So I said nothing. For years.

Some years later, I began watching videos of Apostle Rambabu giving remarkably detailed words of knowledge.

I was convinced something wasn't right, but I couldn't work out how it was being done. It was like watching a magician while desperately trying to spot where the rabbit was hiding. And frankly, I'm not brilliant at spotting rabbits.

Then came August 2026.

I discovered that Rambabu was visiting the UK and saw that he was being hosted at an event by a pastor I knew through Facebook. I contacted her and explained my concerns about Apostle P.S. Rambabu. She disagreed with me and eventually blocked me.

That night, before going to bed, I prayed a very simple prayer:

"Lord, show me how Rambabu is doing this."

The next morning, I picked up my phone and saw a video of him. I'd completely forgotten about the prayer.

Within seconds, something jumped out at me. I suddenly noticed a pattern I hadn't seen before.

I watched more videos. Then more. And the same pattern appeared repeatedly whenever highly specific information was presented as a prophetic revelation.

But this is not the first time someone has been caught doing this trick.

What Did Mike Winger Say About Shawn Bolz?

Mike Winger released a nearly six-hour exposé titled "The Skeletons in Bethel's Closet Are Now Going to Speak," detailing years of alleged fraudulent prophecies by prophetic minister Shawn Bolz. The video accuses Bethel leadership, including Kris Vallotton, of knowing about the allegations for years and failing to act, prompting Bethel to issue a public apology. It's reignited urgent questions about accountability, cover-up culture, and discernment within the wider charismatic and NAR movement. (Watch HERE)

Gary Morgan is another figure who's been exposed using this same trick.

This does not mean I do not believe in miracles.

I Believe in Miracles

Before anyone reaches for the keyboard with both thumbs blazing, let me be clear.

I believe in miracles. I believe God heals. I believe the Holy Spirit gives spiritual gifts. I believe biblical prophecy is real.

But if we believe in the genuine, we also need enough discernment to recognise the counterfeit. Paul told believers:

"Test all things; hold fast what is good."

— 1 Thessalonians 5:21, NKJV

Notice the first instruction. Test. Not "believe everything because the preacher has a large ministry." Not "believe it because everyone is cheering."

Test it.

So, now let's look at how Evangelist Rambabu appears to manipulate the audience. This is what God highlighted to me after I prayed.

The Pattern I Believe Is Hidden in Plain Sight

There are numerous ways someone could obtain personal information without receiving it supernaturally. Information can be remembered beforehand. It can come from registration details, prayer cards, social media, conversations or other sources.

And sometimes the presentation itself looks remarkably theatrical. Dramatic pauses. Big reactions. "God is showing me something…" It can feel less like a quiet work of the Holy Spirit and more like Christian theatre with a very expensive microphone.

But here's what caught my attention when examining videos of Apostle Dr. P.S. Rambabu.

When the statements are general, there doesn't appear to be much need for notes.

  • "God is going to bless you."
  • "God has a purpose for your life."
  • "You've been through difficult things."

Well, yes. That describes an enormous portion of the human race.

But when the claims become highly specific — names, dates, numbers and personal details — watch what happens. Rambabu appears to look at notes, phones or tablets before giving the information. Again and again.

Sometimes they memorise the information in part, so the need for notes is reduced.

Another common tactic is the line, "We have never met before, have we?" — a way of building confidence in the audience that what's about to happen is revelatory.

Once you notice it, it becomes remarkably difficult to unsee.

What About Ankit Rambabu Pinnadari?

There's another reason I think this deserves careful examination.

Ankit Rambabu

Older footage involving Ankit Rambabu Pinnadari, the son of Apostle Rambabu, appears to show similarities in the way detailed information is presented.

I'm not asking readers to condemn Ankit Rambabu simply because he's related to his father. I'm asking people to watch the footage and make their own assessment.

Flying in Jet Planes to Events

A family connection isn't evidence of wrongdoing. Evidence needs to stand on its own.

I do feel for Ankit's wife in all of this. I don't believe she fully realised what she was becoming part of, and I hope she wasn't aware of any of this before now. What she chooses to do with that is up to her.

[More on Ankit in a future blog.]

Watch the Evidence for Yourself

I've produced a detailed video examining the material involving Apostle Rambabu. (Watch HERE)

Watch it. Slow it down. Look at what happens immediately before the detailed "word of knowledge." Look at the hands. Look at the screens. Look at the timing.

Then ask yourself the uncomfortable question:

If this information is coming directly from the Holy Spirit, why does the minister repeatedly appear to need written information first?

That's a fair question. And Christians shouldn't be frightened of fair questions.

New Creation Ministries, Rambo World Outreach and HSG

The ministry associated with Apostle Dr. P.S. Rambabu has reached audiences through organisations and platforms including New Creation Ministries, Rambo World Outreach, and Holy Spirit Generation (HSG). There are also HSG Sunday Service broadcasts and other online material through which people encounter this ministry.

That makes discernment even more important. The internet can spread a genuine testimony around the world in minutes. Unfortunately, it can also spread questionable claims just as efficiently.

A large online audience doesn't automatically make something true. Neither does a packed church. Neither does a powerful testimony.

Don't Confuse Drama With the Holy Spirit

The prophetic isn't supposed to be a circus act. God doesn't need theatrical tricks to prove He's God.

Paul teaches that spiritual gifts are intended to build up the church (1 Corinthians 14:26, NKJV). They're not supposed to become Christian entertainment.

So if something looks more like a stage performance than ministry, we're allowed to ask questions. Actually, Scripture tells us to.

When Christians Become Desperate for Miracles

Here's the uncomfortable bit. Christians can become incredibly vulnerable when they're desperate for miracles.

We chase crowds. We chase spectacular testimonies. We chase money and promises of blessing. And sometimes discernment gets left somewhere between the worship set and the merchandise table.

Desperation doesn't make something true. Jesus never told us to follow whoever could put on the biggest show. He told us to follow Him.

A Word to Apostle Rambabu and His Supporters

Pastor Ram Babu, if my interpretation of the footage is wrong, explain it. If there's an innocent explanation for the notes, phones and tablets appearing in these videos, give people the explanation publicly.

If I've misunderstood what I'm seeing, I'm prepared to hear the answer. But if the evidence demonstrates something else, then repentance is always better than pretending.

The Bible says:

"For nothing is secret that will not be revealed."

— Luke 8:17, NKJV

Titles don't make someone genuine. Crowds don't make someone genuine. Money doesn't make someone genuine. Even impressive ministry platforms don't make someone genuine.

Christ does not need us to protect a man's reputation.

To his followers: do not support this man financially. Do not give to this man or his son. His son flies around the US preaching from jet plane to jet plane, and these ministries have reportedly taken millions of dollars from Christians in the process.

To the Churches and Christian Leaders

If churches and respected Christian leaders have hosted or endorsed Evangelist Rambabu, they should be willing to examine these concerns seriously. That includes anyone who has promoted Apostle P.S. Rambabu or Apostle Dr. P.S. Rambabu as a genuine apostolic or prophetic voice.

If serious questions arise, Christian leadership shouldn't respond by simply circling the wagons. We should open the Bible. We should examine the evidence. And we should be willing to say, "We got this wrong," if necessary. That isn't weakness. That's integrity.

Terry Virgo, founder of Newfrontiers and a well-known British charismatic and evangelical leader, wrote about Evangelist Rambabu in a 2016 blog post listing five influential preachers in his life:

"...the extraordinary evangelist and man of faith Rambabu, the most effective evangelist I've ever heard... The love of Christ pours out of him. The presence of the Holy Spirit is phenomenally manifest."

A man of that calibre, and he could not see what was standing in front of him while shaking his hand?

Pastor Joseph, founder of New Life Fellowship and a significant Indian Christian leader, has been named by Rambabu himself as the first to call him an apostle and as a father figure in ministry — though this rests on Rambabu's own account rather than a widely published independent quote.

When the Crowd Goes Home

To the wider church, I'd simply say this: enough with confusing crowds with anointing. Enough with confusing emotionalism with the Holy Spirit. Enough with assuming that something spectacular must therefore be supernatural.

The greatest miracle isn't a mysterious word from a platform. It's Christ. It's the gospel. It's repentance, forgiveness, new life and reconciliation with God.

So whether you've encountered Rambo, watched HSG Sunday Service, followed New Creation Ministries, seen Rambo World Outreach, or simply stumbled across a video of Apostle Rambabu online — don't switch your brain off. Open your Bible. Watch carefully. Test everything.

Because when the lights go out, the microphone is switched off and the crowd goes home, there's one question that really matters:

Was I following a performance — or was I following Jesus?
Test everything. Hold fast to what is good.

This is not a case of someone simply making a 'mistake.'

It is a case of someone deliberately deceiving the public for over 40 years. If you choose to remain silent or continue defending him, then you are part of the problem.

And for those of you who think what I am doing is wrong, I remind you that true prophets still challenge false prophets. Ask Elijah about that.

The ways of our Sovereign God are not the ways of mere humans. The ways of God are above our ways.
